Are you looking to volunteer and be involved at our school? If you would like to represent the parents' voice and participate in decisions that impact student learning, join our School Council. There are many positions available and no experience is required. Whether your child is in kindergarten or grade six, we welcome help from all parents/guardians who share a passion to make Davidson Creek Elementary the best school for our children to learn! Our school relies on the help of volunteers to ensure that everything runs smoothly which enhances the development of a positive school community.
Available positions are:
- School Council Chair
- Vice-Chair, Secretary
- Hot Lunch Committee volunteers.

The Scavenger Hunt is Back! It begins on Monday, June 14th at noon and ends Saturday, June 19th at 5 pm. Print out this CLUE SHEET. Start at the school and follow the clues around the Clarkdale Meadows neighborhood and back to the school. Answers will be submitted electronically once again. Students have a chance to win one of three prize baskets filled with fun summer items! The draw will be made on Sunday, June 20th, and winners will be announced Sunday evening and on the Monday morning announcements. Good luck to everyone and have fun!
Active School Travel
Our Wheel Week was a total success last week! So many students rode on wheels (or walked) and it was fantastic to see. On Wednesday, we recorded 64% school participation, which although not our best total, it was still awesome! Our grades 3-6 students had 75% participation, which is a new record! Way to go Mustangs!
Student Transportation: 2021-22 registration
Planning to use Student Transportation in the 2021-22 school year? If so, make sure your child is registered so Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) can plan routes and send your child a bus pass before the first day of school.
All students who indicated needing transportation services through the returning student registration process are now registered. Those families have also received tentative route schedules and invoices—fees are due June 30, 2021.
For those students who didn’t indicate needing transportation service through the returning student registration process and want to now register, simply contact EIPS Student Transportation at 780-417-8151 or email email@example.com.
